Heavymetal and Classical Music

In an article in the Korean Times, Judas Priest's new album Nostradamus is reviewed speaking of the influences of classical music.

Sean Kelly, from the group Crash Kelly, is about to release a classical guitar album. After just releasing an album with Crash Kelly entitled "One More Heart Attack" siting influences as Cheap Trick, Alice Cooper and Queen. Here is an artist who is walking on both sides of the divide between classical and pop music.

Another group, the V.O. Quartet is a string quartet who blends folk, klezmer, gypsy, pop and jazz with their classical training. I missed their performance in the UK yesterday, but someone definately worth following.
