Academy Award and GRAMMY® Award-winning superstar Jennifer Hudson will perform on the BOSTON POPS FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR, an entertainment special to be broadcast live from the Charles River Esplanade in Boston, Wednesday, July 4 (10:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. For the second consecutive year, Emmy Award-winning actor Michael Chiklis, star of the highly-anticipated new CBS drama series “Vegas,” will host the special. St Louis Symphony Welcomes Wicked Divas to Powell Hall

Stars of Broadway’s blockbuster Wicked perform with the St. Louis Symphony March 25 Tickets go on sale today for the newly-added Wicked Divas concert at Powell Hall. The concert pairs singers Emily Rozek and Julia Murney with the St. Louis Symphony for a performance on March 25, 2012 at 3pm. The Wicked Divas concert features songs from Broadway, popular music and opera, performed by actresses who’ve played the divas from Wicked. Rozek portrayed Glinda the Good Witch; Murney was her wicked counterpart, Elphaba. The artists have appeared on television, in musicals and at regional theatres across the country, and both starred in Wicked on Broadway. Trey Anastasio announces first-ever orchestral tour

Guitarist/singer Trey Anastasio will launch his first-ever orchestral tour on February 9, 2012, performing with the Atlanta Symphony at the Atlanta Symphony Hall. The Trey Anastasio Winter Symphony Tour will also include performances with the Pittsburgh Symphony (2/14), the Colorado Symphony (2/28) and the Los Angeles Philharmonic (3/10). The programs, conducted by Scott Dunn in all four cities, will feature orchestrations of classic Phish songs and solo Anastasio compositions. A founding member of the GRAMMY®-nominated, genre-melding rock band Phish, Anastasio has also released eight solo albums, A curious and constant composer, he draws inspiration from experimental jazz, classical, pop, reggae, metal and barbershop music.
