Guest Violinist, Josiah Hamill, Winner of 2014 Concerto Competition Denver – The Arapahoe Philharmonic presents “Classic Traditions” on Friday, March 14, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. with a program featuring Johannes Brahms’ lush Symphony No. 2 and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, one of the most popular and technical concertos for violin, with soloist Josiah Hamill, winner of the 2014 T. Join Colorado Symphony for Independence Eve presented by Anadarko, a FREE Colorado Symphony concert, light show and fireworks display on Tuesday, July 3, in Denver’s Civic Center Park (Colfax & Broadway) beginning at 8:00 pm. Lawn seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis; arriving early is greatly encouraged, as are blankets or low-rise concert/beach chairs. Attendees are welcome to bring their own picnics; concessions will also be available on-site.

Colorado Symphony Announces Live Streaming of "Shakespeare In Music” Concert

The Colorado Symphony has moved forward with its plans to increase its digital presence and is offering a free, live online audio stream of an upcoming performance of its Masterworks Series program “Shakespeare in Music” on June 8, 2012. “The opportunity to provide a live audio stream of our concerts allows us to deliver our programming directly to listeners located anywhere in the world who can't attend a live performance, and affords us the opportunity to reach a much broader market,” stated Colorado Symphony President & CEO, Gene Sobczak. “This inaugural live stream speaks to our commitment to providing live music utilizing current media. The Colorado Symphony Board of Trustees has announced the election of three new members to the board: Mr. B.J. Dyer, Dr. Christopher Ott, and Ms. Ginger White. They join two other recently-elected members Ms. Sandy Elliott, community volunteer, and Mr. Richard Kylberg, Vice President of Corporate Communications for Arrow Electronics. Olga Kern Joins the Colorado Symphony for a Triple Masterworks

Russian pianist Olga Kern and guest conductor Peter Oundjian will join the Colorado Symphony for a weekend of Masterworks performances when Olga Kern Plays Grieg at Boettcher Concert Hall on Friday and Saturday, May 18-19 at 7:30pm and on Sunday, May 20 at 2:30pm. This weekend will mark Olga’s 5th appearance in Denver with the Colorado Symphony. Colorado Symphony Announces Summer Concerts

Symphony performs in and around the region including Red Rocks, Arvada Center, PACE, Lone Tree, Civic Center Park, Denver Botanic Gardens and Boettcher Concert Hall This July, the Colorado Symphony, as part of its new direction of engaging and connecting with communities, will be appearing in several different venues throughout the region performing a wide variety of programming. Leftover Salmon Hosts Public Block Party in Denver To Celebrate New CD, May 13th

On May 13th, Leftover Salmon will take over Santa Fe Drive in the heart of Denver’s Arts District for a free block party and performance presented by 97.3 KBCO celebrating the long-awaited release of ‘Aquatic Hitchhiker’ (5.22, LoS), the band’s first album in eight years. Sponsored by Breckenridge Brewery and Renegade Brewery, the event is also a benefit for the non-profit organization Conscious Alliance , which raises money for underprivileged communities.
