Live Webcast of the Orchestra Unleashed, Concert of New Music for the Orchestra - Sept 12

Audiences around the world can experience the concert, featuring new works by contemporary composers

The Orchestra Unleashed, a concert of new classical music for the orchestra, will be webcast live on Sunday, September 12 at 2:00 PM PST from the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood, CA. The cost of the broadcast is $10 and registrants for the live event will also receive a free link after the performance to view the concert in Hi-Re on-demand. The program will feature a mix of orchestral music, spoken word, and visual art. Compositions include The Colors of Dream by Anthony Iannaccone, Purgatorio by Michael-Thomas Foumai, Train of Thought by Tyler Harrison, Sarabande by Brynjar Boe, Chapter Final by Michael A. Mogensen, Philosophy of Miracle by Natalia Rojcovscaia, and Across an American Sky by Joseph Carrillo. The program will culminate with a special presentation of the classic poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, "The Rime of The Ancient Mariner," featuring the voice talents of actor Bryce Lenon, the art of French illustrator Gustave Dore, and the music of composer and conductor Gustav Hoyer.

The Orchestra Unleashed is the third in a series of concerts designed to challenge the traditional perceptions of classical music and, in particular, music written for the orchestra. The first two were titled "Mirrors of the Soul" and took place September 2009 and March 2010.
