Withdrawal of André Previn from 25 April London Symphony Orchestra concert

Due to temporary health problems, Mr. Previn has been advised by his doctor not to travel at this time, and has therefore unfortunately had to withdraw from the London Symphony Orchestra concert on 25 April 2010. We are delighted that François-Xavier Roth has agreed to step in at short notice to conduct the concert.

There are slight changes to the programme, which is now:
Copland Appalachian Spring - Suite (as before) Barber Knoxville Summer of 1915 (replaces Previn Miss Sallie Chisum remembers Billy the Kid); soprano soloist remains: Barbara Bonney Dvorak Symphony No 9 ('From the New World') (replaces Strauss Alpine Symphony)
