James Levine Resigns...

He's had a tough year and his health is still an issue. Still, this is heavy news, sad news... according to Mark Volpe, Managing Director for the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Levine will still have a role with Boston, they just aren't sure what that role will be yet.

James Levine will continue with the Metropolitan Opera. It is just his role as Music Director for Boston Symphony is ending, a position he has held since 2004.

The search is on to replace Levine for this concerts at New Jersey Performing Arts Center, the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall.
