Colorado Symphony Orchestra Season Opens Next Week

Pianist Ingrid Fliter returns to the Colorado Symphony Orchestra for the joyous opening of the 2009-10 season. Described by Music Director Jeffrey Kahane as a pianist like those of "the golden age," Fliter performs Schumann's Piano Concerto. The program opens with one of the most performed works by a living American composer – John Adams' Short Ride in a Fast Machine.

Compliment your concert experience with a CSO Concert Prelude, featuring CSO President and CEO Jim Palermo on Friday night and Music Director Jeffrey Kahane on Saturday night. Held one hour before each concert in Boettcher Concert Hall, Concert Preludes are free to ticket holders and offer valuable insight into the repertoire on each program.

Can't make it before the concert? Stay after the concert on Saturday for an informal post-concert TalkBack hosted by Jim Palermo, Jeffrey Kahane and Ingrid Fliter.
