Liberty Mutual Group Chairman, President, And Ceo Edmund F. Kelly to Take on Chairmanship of Boston Symphony in September

Stephen B. Kay And Robert P. O’block To Serve As Bso’s Co-Chairmen Now Through August 2011

The Boston Symphony Orchestra has announced the election of Edmund (Ted) F. Kelly as the new chairman of the BSO Board of Trustees, a three-year term to take effect as of September 1, 2011. In addition, the BSO Board of Trustees has elected Stephen B. Kay and Robert P. O’Block to serve as co-chairmen, effective immediately, with terms running through August 31, 2011. Mr. Kay and Mr. O’Block will fulfill the duties of the role left vacant by the recent passing of Edward H. Linde, who was chairman of the BSO Board of Trustees from September 2005 through January 2010, and whose term as chairman was to have ended in August 2011.
