St Louis Symphony Volunteer Association Announces Third Year of Parties of Note

The St. Louis Symphony Volunteer Association (SVA) launches its third season of Parties of Note. These imaginative themed events have grown to become the second largest fundraiser of the SVA and benefit the Symphony’s education and community programs. Several Symphony musicians are donating their time and talents for these events. The first opportunity to purchase reservations will be at the festive Pick a Party! Party, held at the Interior Design Center of St. Louis, 11660 Page Service Drive, St. Louis, MO, on June 28.

Hosted in various locations throughout the region, from spas to vineyards to luxurious private homes, these events include:

· It’s in the Cards—a friendly poker game with Symphony musicians at the home of Carolyn and Kevin Fancell
· It’s a String Thing—a lesson about string instruments followed by a performance by Wendy Plank Rosen, at the home of Eileen Edelman
· Sound Bites—chamber music with Scott Andrews, Melissa Brooks and Nina Ferrigno, along with delicious desserts at a historic Compton Heights home
· Chamber Music Potluck—bring your own instrument and jam with Symphony musicians Rebecca Boyer Hall, Asako Kuboki, Chris Woehr, and Alvin McCall

A portion of each party may be tax-deductible. Prices range from $20 to $300 per person. Many parties have limited availability. All parties are donated by the hosts, with proceeds benefiting the Symphony.

Tickets may be purchased and the Parties of Note Catalog may be viewed at stlsymphony.org/pon. Tickets may also be purchased through the St. Louis Symphony Box Office at 314-534-1700.
