Baltimore Symphony Associates Host Music Matters Fashion Show, Oct. 17

Luncheon and fashion show will raise money for BSO’s education programs

Baltimore, Md. (October 8, 2009)—The Baltimore Symphony Associates (BSA)—the volunteer organization of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO)—will host Music Matters Fashions on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. For $40 admission, guests will enjoy an elegant luncheon and see Fall’s newest styles from popular local boutiques Lori K, Chezelle and Wee Chic. Wine will be available for purchase and a special boutique selling some of the featured fashions will be open. All proceeds benefit the BSO’s education programs.

Lori K is a fashion boutique located in Stevenson, MD. It offers hip, unique clothing for today’s active woman. Chezelle offers fashions for full-figured woman. Located in Baltimore, MD, Chezelle believes that style comes in all shapes and sizes. Wee Chic is a boutique located in Green Spring Station that offers clothing and accessories for children age 6 and under as well as specialty gifts for new moms.

The Baltimore Symphony Associates (BSA) continues its long tradition of volunteers in service to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra reaching back to 1942 when it began as the Women's Committee. More than 200 current members use their time, energy and financial support to benefit the education programs of the BSO. The BSA manages the Symphony Store at the Meyerhoff, hosts several fundraising events, serve as ushers at education programs and sponsors several pre-concert lectures each season.
