The Springfield Symphony Orchestra will hold informal discussions at 7 p.m. in room 172 of the Clark State Performing Arts Center on the following days:

  • Monday, Jan. 12 — Executive Director David Deitrick talks about new music.
  • Feb. 9 — Conductor Peter Stafford Wilson talks about developing a concert program and season.
  • March 16 — Musicians Richard and Heather York talk about theme and variations.

Admission is free. Participants should enter the PAC through the Turner Studio Theatre entrance. For more information, call (937) 325-8100.

In a play without music, the words ought to support the meaning behind a character's actions.
