New Opera: 'Skin Deep'

A new operatta is opening in the UK this month, "Skin Deep" - about cosmetic surgery, revealing the ugly truth about beauty. It is due to premiere in Leeds on 16 January with a trip to Sadler Wells and then tour the UK. The music is by rising composer David Sawer, while the libretto is the work of television and radio's incomparable satirist, Armando Iannucci.

There is a wonderful interview in the Telegraph between Jasper Rees and the two colaborators. More on the upcoming performance here.
